International Cooperation Online Discussion, Share Mutual Benefits of Freight Train Offline

On June 30th, “The Series Online Forum of 2020 COIFAIR- International Cooperation of China-Russia-Europe Freight Trains” has been held successfully.

The COVID-19 continues to threat people globally, and the world economy and trade have been beaten hardly. Under the such situation, it is greatly benefited to explore the solution to boost the economy by  exchanging new ideas for the development of international freight trains, finding new solutions for cross-border logistics access so as to steer the trilateral freight train cooperation to a stable course. China Overseas Development Association and JSC Russian Railways(RZD) held the online forum discussing about China-Russia China-Europe freight train cooperation for the first time, discussed about alternative options of international cargo transportation when the supply chain of sea and air transportation was seriously blocked.

China, Russia, the EU and all relevant parties paid high attention to this forum. The distinguished participates are CUI Changli, First Secretary, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Russian Federation; Sergey INYUSHIN, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the People's Republic of China;Joerg WUTTKE, President, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China; Alexey SHILO, Deputy General Director, Russian Railways; HAN Boling, General Manager, China Railway Container Transport; Uwe LEUSCHNER, Managing Director, DB Cargo Eurasia; Czesław WARSEWICZ, CEO, PKP Cargo; Tero KOSONEN, Vise President,Sales and Marketing Department of VR Group; Xavier WANDERPEPEN, General Manager, SNCF Group and other Chinese and foreign guests attended the forum. More than 500 guests got on line, including some provincial and municipal Development and Reform Commissions, senior executives of domestic and foreign enterprises and leaders of financial institutions attended the forum. Twenty-two Chinese and foreign guests delivered speeches and participated in online dialogues and discussions, putting  forward ideas for advancing China-Russia and China-Europe freight train cooperation with the expectation of reviving the economy.
